The 2022 Guadalajara banners were prescient in highlighting three of the four semifinalists. The other two are MIA
–
It’s a Saturday finals day in Guangzhou and Guadalajara – with a little wiggle room as the bigger tournaments in Asia still to come for those who are in Mexico.
In Guangzhou, top seed Magda Linette took on an Chinese player – and lost.
And to add more juice for the locals, there’s an unseeded Chinese pair in the doubles final as well. And they upset the No. 2 seeds.
In Guadalajara, Canadians (with a few dashes of Kiwi) Dabrowski and Routliffe look for their second straight title. And Caroline Dolehide looks to continue her Cinderella run in singles.
(Guangzhou is 12 hours ahead of ET; Guadalajara is two hours behind).
