The day of her first-round loss to Johanna Larsson Tuesday, Canadian Genie Bouchard found herself speaking in front of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce along with race-car driver Valerie Chiasson.
The WTA also had her pose with a poster board promoting next week’s WTA Tour Finals in Singapore. Bouchard qualified in 2014, but not since.
She was not alone. A day after her own first-round ouster, No. 1 seed (and wild card) Angelique Kerber was scheduled for a meet-and-greet.
