Davis Cup Finals, Day 2: Djokovic debuts (final results)

After a first day in which the vast majority of the matches were won in straight sets, the next tranche of Davis Cup pool matches get under way in Madrid, Innsbruck and Torino.

In the evergreen department, 40-year-old Feliciano Lopez was scheduled for singles and doubles today against Ecuador. But once he won his singles, his work was done.

The Spanish team, already without Rafael Nadal, was hit with an abdominal injury to Roberto Bautista Agut. And yesterday, it was announced that teenage sensation Carlos Alcaraz tested positive for the coronavirus.

None of the matches came down to the doubles.
